What's up you guys? Welcome to our blog Bits and Pieces. This blog is going to be very helpful because we're going to finally see how to increase website traffic to your Shopify store. This is part of our strategy step of the ECOMM Accelerator Process and we’re going to be sharing with you the number one thing most store owners are missing. So, stick around to the end of the blog to find out.
Before we get started, I just want to say welcome to everyone new. My name is Christian Piñon; one of the co-founders here at BitBranding. We've been helping frustrated store owners since 2015 become more impactful through tutorials, tactics and strategies.

With that out of the way, let's get started.
You can reach new audiences with influencer marketing.
For many of you, this can be kind of challenging, but the benefits are great because you're leveraging the trust that these people already formed with their audience. Now, most people think that influencers are only on Instagram or the majority of influencer type business is done through Instagram and YouTube.
However, TikTok is positioning themselves to be the greatest shopping influencer platform.
Do not sleep on this opportunity to work with TikTok influencers. If you haven't downloaded TikTok, make sure you do and make sure you start checking out some of the videos that people are creating there because they're becoming influencers almost overnight, very quickly.
It gives the opportunity for other people who might not like the aesthetic of Instagram, whereas TikTok is a little bit more authentic in the delivery of content. So, if your business has to do with things other than fitness and clothing, which Instagram is an absolute beast for, then TikTok might be an opportunity for you.
So do not sleep on TikTok influencers. They come in all different niches and audiences. So this is not just for kids.
Two things that you need to ask yourself is: are they a good fit for my brand? Will they be a good customer for my brand? And do they have good engagement rates?
So it's not just about followers, it's about how those followers are engaging with their content. So it's important to see if they're liking, if they're commenting, if the influencer is actually commenting back and interacting with their audience, that's most important.
Any of these vanity metrics like followers, they don't really matter when it comes to influencer marketing. So, make sure to check out influencer marketing. Check out TikTok. TikTok is building new tools for Shopify stores actually, to be able to sell directly onto their platform and they're making it very easy to work with influencers, with TikTok and Shopify. So check that out.
Now, if you think that TikTok influencers are pretty awesome, wait until you hear the number one thing most store owners are missing when it comes to increasing website traffic. Stick to the end of the blog to find out.
All right, the next thing we have to do is engage in social media. We're not saying to post social media. We're talking about encouraging people to have conversations, for you to respond thoughtfully, to drive excitement and enthusiasm with your product.
So the tools are out there. You can use things like Talkwalker where you actually get notifications when people mention you on social media, which is very important, so that you can actually respond in a timely manner. It's not like people are commenting and talking about your brand or your product and you're taking months to respond back to them. Sometimes they don't @ you, they don't mention you necessarily so you don't get that notification from the platform, but you can use, again, things like Talkwalker, I believe Google Alerts as well, or any time they say that particular keyword, you can get a notification and you can respond to them a lot quicker.
So engaging on social media is a way to make sure that people know that you're real, that you're active, that there's some people there, there's more than just this logo or this brand out there. There's real people behind your company, and that you care about what they have to say, and that you're actually engaging with them, right, on that one on one.
Before we jump to the number one thing most store owners are missing when it comes to increasing website traffic, let me tell you that every blog post out there is correct. I want to talk about the most boring thing or a lot of you may think that it's boring and everyone tells you to do it and that is you need to use SEO to increase the chances of being discovered.
When a customer searches for your product or a company, you want your store to be one of the top results.
This fine tuning of relevant keywords and information is what makes SEO a fine science and it only works when you put in the time and effort into learning the rules that govern the search engines like Google and Bing.

Last but not least, the number one thing most store owners are missing when it comes to increasing website traffic: they don't have a proven marketing strategy in place. They don't have a plan, which, by the way, it's part of our ECOMM Accelerator Program which provides that and a lot more. So if you're interested in that program, make sure to schedule a call today by clicking here.
So when we talk about strategy, it’s more than just the tactics that we're talking about. It's some of the things that we talked about before and some of the things that you'll see on the other video that we told you to go check out, but it's actually all those things working together, working in conjunction. That is what store owners are missing, they lack clarity when it comes to increasing traffic, they maybe jump from one thing to the other without actually measuring, tracking what's actually happening, what's actually working. So before you go on and start trying some of these things that I'm talking about, have a plan in place, very, very important. Figure out how long you're going to experiment, what are you going to track and how will you measure success?
